Shawn Michaels ,Part 4

Michaels' title reign colorfully ended at the 1996 Survivor Series in November, where he lost to Sycho Sid, his former bodyguard, at Madison Square Garden in a face vs. face match. This match was notable for the New York fans cheering for Sid when he hit both Michaels and Jose Lothario with a television camera and cheering again when he won the match and championship. A flu-ridden Michaels recaptured the belt from Sid in January at the 1997 Royal Rumble in front of his hometown fans in San Antonio.

Michaels was supposed to defend (and lose) his title at a WrestleMania 13 rematch with Bret Hart but he gave up the title on a special episode of RAW dubbed Thursday RAW Thursday[1], broadcast live on the USA Network on February 13, 1997. This speech was regarded as controversial, as Michaels was alledgedly unwilling to lose to Bret Hart at WrestleMania. Michaels had been told by doctors that a knee injury was bad enough to have to retire, and knowing that Michaels' knee was bad, Bret Hart mapped out a novel ending for their planned WrestleMania match: Hart would catch Michaels' right leg as he attempted to execute his superkick finisher and twist it. Michaels' leg would thus 'break', complete with planted 'snapping' sounds coming from under the ring. The ending would allow Michaels to 'lose' the title without quitting or being pinned, and also would allow understandable time out.[citation needed] In the speech, Michaels contemplated thoughts of retirement and stated that he "had to find his smile again", which he had "lost" somewhere down the line. In the end, Bret Hart resumed his feud with Steve Austin for WrestleMania 13, and Michaels did color commentary at the event.

After knee surgery by Dr. James Andrews, he miraculously returned a few months later, briefly teaming with Steve Austin to win the WWF Tag Team titles. However, after a real life backstage fight with Bret Hart, Michaels quit the WWF (Michaels maintained in his autobiography that his punishment was more severe than Hart's), until Vince McMahon convinced Michaels otherwise, and gave him the role of a heel.

At SummerSlam 1997, Michaels officiated the WWF title match between WWF Champion The Undertaker and Bret Hart. The match ended in controversial fashion, with Michaels nailing Undertaker with a chair (unintentionally, as he was aiming for Hart after Bret spat in his face). Michaels was then forced to award the title to his nemesis, Hart, setting the stage for their match at Survivor Series.

Michaels' striking of the Undertaker with a chair began a feud between the two men. In October, at In Your House: Badd Blood, Michaels and Undertaker participated in the very first Hell in a Cell match, which saw Michaels falling off the side of the 15-foot high structure through a table. Michaels won the match with the help of the debut of the Undertaker's brother Kane.

In the summer, Michaels joined forces with real-life friend, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Hunter's then-girlfriend, Chyna to form D-Generation X. The group would engage in rebellious behavior, such as pointing to their crotches and telling fans to "Suck It". Moving away from the family-oriented product, this marked the beginning of the WWF Attitude Era. Michaels also began re-feuding with Bret Hart's reformed The Hart Foundation, which was now a pro-Canada stable. Michaels would taunt The Hart Foundation and Canada by engaging in acts, such as blowing his nose with and humping the Canadian Flag. In his book, Heartbreak & Triumph, Michaels claims the flag desecration was Bret Hart's idea.

Michaels' feud with the Hart Foundation culminated in a title shot at the 1997 Survivor Series against Bret Hart in what is thought to be the most controversial match in wrestling history. Michaels came out of this match, known "affectionately" by fans as the Montreal Screwjob, as the WWF World Champion.

Shawn Michaels ,Part 3

On August 28, 1994, Michaels and his ever more popular sidekick, Diesel, captured the WWF World Tag Team Championship from The Headshrinkers. During their brief time as a tag team, they used a variation of the Headshrinkers' finishing move, where Michaels would finish off their opponent by climbing on Diesel's shoulders and splashing on their opponents. The next day, at SummerSlam 1994, Diesel lost the Intercontinental Title to Ramon when Michaels accidentally Superkicked his bodyguard.

This triggered a Michaels-Diesel split, drawn out until the Survivor Series 1994 that November due to Michaels' hand injury at the time. Michaels went on to win the 1995 Royal Rumble, setting up a championship/grudge match at WrestleMania XI against Diesel. Michaels recruited Sid as his bodyguard for the build-up, lost the match, and then was turned on by Sid the following night.

As Sid challenged Diesel for the gold, Michaels took time off. He returned to the ring, as a 'babyface', in June 1995, and toppled Jeff Jarrett in July 1995 for his third Intercontinental Title. This would lead to a title defense against Razor Ramon at SummerSlam 1995, in a Ladder Match, which Michaels won.

Around this time, Michaels became the alleged leader of a backstage group known as The Clique/Kliq, which others perceived had sufficient clout with WWF owner Vince McMahon, to become the dominant wrestling figures in the promotion for several years in the mid-1990s. Michaels disputes the perception, saying that McMahon pushed only deserving wrestlers. Shawn's fanbase was later nicknamed "The Kliq" as an inside reference to the real "Clique."

In October 1995, he was attacked by several men outside a Syracuse, New York, bar. Shortly afterwards, at the In Your House: Great White North PPV Michaels forfeited the Intercontinental Title to real-life enemy Dean Douglas as he was, according to the WWF, unable to compete. However, Douglas lost the title immediately to Clique member Razor Ramon. Douglas maintained that Michaels could have wrestled that night and simply didn't want to put him over.

The next month, during a match with Owen Hart on Monday Night RAW, Owen nailed Michaels with an Enzuigiri kick to the back of Michaels' head. They continued to wrestle, but Michaels then collapsed in the ring, supposedly because he had suffered a concussion in the Syracuse incident. The concussion was a work, skillfully kept from most fans at the time.

After teasing a retirement, Michaels announced that he would be returning to the WWF at the 1996 Royal Rumble match, which he won for the second year in a row. Around this time, Jose Lothario, Michaels' original trainer, became his on-screen manager.

Michaels won his first WWF Championship at WrestleMania XII in March 1996, pinning Bret Hart in the 'sudden death' overtime of their a sixty minute Iron Man match, which had ended in a 0-0 tie. As WCW gained momentum due to the signings of Michaels' friends Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, Michaels soldiered on as champion for most of the year, notably overcoming Mankind, Vader and The British Bulldog in pay-per-view battles.

At SummerSlam 1996 in his main event WWF championship match with Vader, Shawn notoriously became agitated during the match when Vader misheard Shawn and didnt move out of the way on his subsequent elbow drop. Shawn changed direction in mid air upon realising Vader wasnt going to move and then shouts loudly "move!" whilst stamping legitimately on Vader's head. Shawn admitted in a later recorded shoot interview that Mankind, suggested that during their match at In Your House: Mind Games, Shawn should re-enact his genuine heat with Vader during match against Mankind and perform the same stamp sequence seen at SummerSlam 2 months earlier.

Shawn Michaels ,Part 2

The duo plodded along, eventually splitting on December 2, 1991 during an incident on Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake's televised "Barber Shop" talk show segment. Michaels superkicked Jannetty and threw him through a glass window on the 'shop' set. Jannetty vanished from the WWF and Michaels turned heel as "The Boy Toy". His nickname was later changed to "The Heartbreak Kid", at Curt Hennig's suggestion.

In his new gimmick as a vain, cocky heel, he was put together with mirror-carrying manager "Sensational" Sherri, who, according to the storyline, had become infatuated with him. Sherri even sang the first version of his new theme music "Sexy Boy."

During that period, Michaels normally wrestled during the first half of house shows, and had his departure announced with the words "Shawn Michaels has left the building" (alluding to the phrase "Elvis has left the building").

Michaels failed to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship from Bret Hart in July 1992, even losing the WWF's first ever Ladder match against him. Still, Michaels was beginning to get over as a heel. He won the WWF Intercontinental Championship from "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith during Saturday Night's Main Event on October 27, 1992. Shortly thereafter, he faced — and lost to — future nemesis Bret Hart, for the WWF Championship in the main event of the 1992 Survivor Series.

Michaels and Sherri split at this point, and Jannetty quickly reappeared, leading to several memorable matches. After sneaking past Tatanka in early 1993, Michaels lost his Intercontinental Championship to Jannetty on Monday Night RAW on May 17, 1993. He then regained it on June 6, 1993 with the help of his debuting "bodyguard" (and off-air friend) Diesel.

After a much-hyped but ultimately disappointing feud with Mr. Perfect, Michaels quit the WWF in September 1993. It was announced that Michaels had failed to defend his belt enough times during a set period; in reality, he had been suspended for testing positive for steroids — a charge that Michaels denies to this day.

After turning down WCW's advances, Michaels returned to the WWF and made several appearances in the United States Wrestling Association during a WWF/USWA cross-promotion. He returned to WWF television for November's 1993 Survivor Series, substituting for the arrested Jerry Lawler in a match pitting himself and three of Lawler's "Knights" against Bret, Bruce, Keith, and Owen Hart.

He soon entered a hot feud with Razor Ramon, who had won the vacated Intercontinental Title during Michaels' absence. Since Michaels had never been defeated in the ring for the title, he claimed to be the rightful champion and even carried around his old title belt.

This feud culminated in a ladder match between the two at WrestleMania X. Michaels lost the match, which featured both his and Ramon's belts suspended above a ladder in the ring. This match won "Match of the Year" awards from Pro Wrestling Illustrated and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It also earned Michaels a reputation of being the "Innovator of the Ladder Match", when in reality it was Bret Hart who brought in the idea two years previously from the Stampede Wrestling promotion.

Michaels battled various injuries over the next few months, and soon launched the "Heartbreak Hotel" TV talk show segment, mainly shown on WWF Superstars.

Shawn Michaels - WWE Superstar

Michael Shawn Hickenbottom (born on July 22, 1965) is an American professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Shawn Michaels. He is currently performing on the RAW brand of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) where he is one-half of D-Generation X; the other member being Triple H. He is also one-half of the World Tag Team Champions with John Cena.

Michaels is one of the longest tenured performers in World Wrestling Entertainment; having worked in various positions for the company since 1987.

Born to a military family on an air base in Ray, Michaels spent a brief part of his early years in Reading, Berkshire, England, but mainly grew up in San Antonio, Texas. In San Antonio, he attended Randolph High School on Randolph Air Force Base.

Trained by Mexican professional wrestler Jose Lothario, Michaels debuted in 1984, working with Mid-South Wrestling and later Texas All-Star Wrestling promotion, where he and Paul Diamond were awarded the TAW Tag Team Championship by Chavo Guerrero, Sr..

Michaels also wrestled for Central States Championship Wrestling. There, he and tag team partner Marty Jannetty defeated The Batten Twins for the Central States Tag Team Championship, later losing it back to the Battens. Michaels also made several appearances in the Dallas, Texas-based World Class Championship Wrestling throughout 1985.

Michaels made his national-level debut in 1986 in the American Wrestling Association (AWA), once again teaming with Jannetty. The pair were billed as "The Midnight Rockers" and won the AWA World Tag Team Championship twice. They also appeared in the Mid-South on loan at this point. In a raid of AWA talent in 1987, The Rockers were signed by a competing promotion: the World Wrestling Federation. However, they were fired two weeks later for "partying too hard" (a misunderstanding, according to Michaels' autobiography). They returned to the AWA, but were re-signed by the WWF a year later.

They redebuted on the June 18, 1988 episode of Superstars. Because of WWF chairman Vince McMahon's desire to have his performers carry WWF-exclusive monikers, they were repackaged as just "The Rockers".

The energetic team proved popular with both children and women, as well as 'smart' fans who appreciated technical wrestling. The team were mid-card stalwarts of TV and pay-per-view shows for the next two years, but never seemed to get a fair chance at the WWF's Tag Team Championships.

Their chance belatedly came in October 1990: The Rockers were scheduled to win the WWF Tag Team Championship from The Hart Foundation. Jim Neidhart, half of the championship team, was in the process of negotiating his release from the company.

The match was taped with The Rockers fairly winning the belts, but soon after, Neidhart came to a stopgap agreement with management and was rehired. The belts were returned to the Harts, while the change was never broadcast or even acknowledged on TV. When news spread, WWF explained that the original result was void due to a collapsed turnbuckle in the ring during the bout. A buckle had indeed broken, but not to a noticeable or dangerous extent during the match.

The Highlanders are a professional wrestling tag team consisting of (kayfabe) cousins Robbie (Derek Graham-Couch) and Rory McAllister (Russell Murray), who currently wrestle for World Wrestling Entertainment on the RAW brand.

Couch and Murray were both born and raised in Oban, Scotland (where the team is currently billed from) before moving to Cambridge, Ontario, Canada in 1988.

Couch first started going to a wrestling school at the behest of co-worker at CAMI Automotive, Inc. where he met future tag team partner Murray. The two were trained by Waldo Von Erich at the Von Erich / Hart Brothers School of Wrestling.

The two men began wrestling as the team Highlanders in South-Western Ontario with promotions such as Pure Wrestling Association (PWA) and Neo Spirit Pro Wrestling, which ran shows in the Ontario, Canada region. The team's last independent match before signing a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) occurred in PWA, against Andrew Davis and Phil Latio in Cambridge, Ontario.

They then signed a developmental deal with World Wrestling Entertainment in July of 2005 and were assigned to their "farm territory" Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) where they wrestled for several months.

In July of 2006 vignettes began airing on WWE RAW featuring The Highlanders exploring "the big city" and comparing the differences to their native Scotland in classic fish out of water style.

The Highlanders made their RAW debut on July 3, with a victory over the duo of Matt Striker and Rob Conway. They followed this victory with another over the same team and were put on the fast track to a match for the Spirit Squad's Tag Team Titles.

When they were granted a match against Spirit Squad members Kenny and Mikey, The Highlanders were defeated after abundant interference by the other members.

Throughout the month of August, The Highlanders continued to battle different tag teams until they won a Triple Threat tag team match over the team of Charlie Haas and Viscera and Cade and Murdoch, which made them the #1 contenders to the Spirit Squad's titles on the September 4 RAW. However they were unsuccessful in winning the titles at Unforgiven, again because of interference from Spirit Squad members not technically a part of the match. Since then they mostly compete on RAW's sister show HEAT.

Chris Masters

Christopher "Chris" Mordetsky (born January 8, 1983) is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters, who is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling on its RAW brand.

Mordetsky competed in amateur bodybuilding in California and began his wrestling training in Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW), before being given a development contract to train in WWE's farm territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW).

When Mordetsky was finally called up to the main roster, WWE showed promo style introductory videos outlining him as The Masterpiece — touting him as having a body so perfect, it would appear he was sculpted out of stone.

"The Masterpiece" Chris Masters (as he was now known) made his RAW debut as a heel in a match against Steven Richards on February 21, 2005. During the match, Masters broke Richards' nose and orbital bone after striking him with a move known as the double axe handle, which was actually supposed to hit Richards in the chest. Richards was out of action after having facial reconstructive surgery, but returned to play on the legitimate injury and have another match with Masters, losing a second time. As a result of the incident, the Polish hammer became a signature move of Master's for a while, making sure it only hit the opponent's chest, before becoming sporadically used.

Masters' next RAW appearance saw him claim that his Master Lock hold is unbreakable, and he even went as far as to start the "Master Lock Challenge" putting up $1,000 of his own money for any person who could break out of the hold. Originally, he called out plants from the crowd, even a woman, whom he stated, "put the 'man' in Manchester." For weeks all challengers failed. He began to call out WWE superstars, mostly undercard wrestlers. He attacked Val Venis from behind before locking in The Master Lock. On one occasion, Sgt. Slaughter challenged Chris Masters to try to break his cobra clutch, which Masters did by utilizing a low blow. Masters increased the offered reward each week up to $20,000 and sometimes threw in a bonus. For example, on the May 16, 2005 edition of RAW while in Omaha, he offered $6,000 and a one-way ticket to anywhere in the US, claiming that "anywhere is better than Omaha, Nebraska."

On July 18, 2005, after defeating 400-pounder Rosey in the Master Lock Challenge, Masters stated "it doesn't matter how big they are!", this saw The Big Show come to the ring and ask to take the challenge, but Masters refused and left the ring. A feud between the two was hinted at for a couple of weeks but never came to fruition.

After interrupting a promo by WWE icon Shawn Michaels, Masters started a feud with him. In a tag team with Carlito against Michaels and Ric Flair, Masters gained a big submission victory by using the Master Lock on a bloodied Ric Flair, who had been attacked by Carlito earlier in the evening.

On the September 5, 2005, edition of RAW, Shawn Michaels became the longest-lasting competitor to take The Master Lock Challenge. Despite Michaels's best efforts, Masters still won the challenge after releasing the hold, hitting Michaels with a chair and re-applying the maneuver. At Unforgiven 2005, Masters had his first televised defeat, losing to Michaels in a singles match.

On October 21, 2005, Chris Masters invaded SmackDown! with Edge. The pair attacked Rey Mysterio. This invasion earned both men a match at Taboo Tuesday where Masters and Edge's replacement Gene Snitsky would team up in a loss against Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy.

At Survivor Series, Bobby Lashley almost broke the Master Lock in the Team RAW vs. Team SmackDown Survivor Series match. However, Masters never had the hold completely locked in before Lashley powered out of it. Therefore, the hold was never "broken".

Chris Masters had his first WWE Championship match on the November 28, 2005 edition of RAW. It was a Triple Threat Submission Match with Kurt Angle vs. John Cena. Masters was struck with a chairshot from Cena, who ultimately retained the title, forcing Masters to tap out to Cena's newly-debuted STF-U.

Masters portrayed the role of a bailiff during the mock trial for then General Manager Eric Bischoff on the December 5, 2005 edition of RAW, with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon as judge. Upon being called to the stand to testify for Bischoff's defense, he was asked to give his name, which he did saying his name was Chris Masters. He was immediately accused of perjury and disqualified as a witness, as McMahon surprisingly broke kayfabe and stated that Masters' real name was Chris Mordetsky.

On December 12, 2005, Chris Masters defeated Viscera on an episode of RAW to gain a spot in the Elimination Chamber match for John Cena's WWE Title at New Year's Revolution. Viscera was pushed as being too big to lock on The Master Lock until being grounded. This would be Masters' first Elimination Chamber match. On the December 26, 2005 edition of RAW, Chris Masters faced Chavo Guerrero, in a Beat The Clock Match to determine who would be the final entry into the Elimination Chamber. Masters had to defeat Chavo in 5 minutes and 56 seconds, which was the time set by Shawn Michaels (when he defeated Snitsky in the opening match of the show.) Chavo Guerrero managed to survive the Master Lock until the clock ran down, meaning Masters was unable to beat the clock.

On January 8, 2006 at New Year's Revolution, Masters lost the Elimination Chamber match when Carlito double-crossed him by delivering a low blow while he had Cena in The Master Lock then rolling him up for a pin. On January 9, 2006, after some heated words with Carlito, both men had a tag match against two men who were also having difficulties, Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels. During the match, Michaels walked backstage, leaving Angle to fend for himself. Masters saw the opportunity and applied the Master Lock to Angle, thus gaining the victory. On January 16, 2006, Masters challenged John Cena to take part in a Master Lock Challenge. Cena accepted the challenge and displayed signs that he might in fact break out of the hold, until Edge attacked Cena with his title belt and ended the challenge.

At the Royal Rumble on January 29, 2006, Masters again worked together with Carlito, but Carlito again double-crossed him and eliminated him from the match. On the February 6, 2006 edition of RAW both men were entered into an eight-man tournament, known as the Road to WrestleMania Tournament, to determine the number one contender for a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 22. In Master's first round match up Masters would use the ropes to aid him in a victory against Kane, and secure himself a second round match up against a winner of a later match between Carlito and Rob Van Dam; RVD would win this match. The next week on RAW, RVD was able to beat Masters and advance to the tournament final.

After this Masters continued to feud with one half of the World Tag Team Champions,The Big Show while Masters on/off team mate Carlito would feud with Kane. On the March 6, 2006 edition of RAW it was announced that Masters and Carlito would get a tag team title match at WrestleMania 22. At WrestleMania 22, the pair lost the match. Carlito and Masters argued amongst themselves after the match.

During the next RAW Masters and Carlito began to feud with Carlito first attacking Masters from behind, seemingly blaming him for their loss the night before. This led to a match between the two men during Backlash 2006 which Carlito won.

After this, Masters entered the hunt for the WWE Intercontinental Championship but Masters would soon be suspended by the WWE. Before being suspended, Masters was on the May 22, 2006 edition of RAW losing a match to John Cena by submission to the STF-U and would return to the ring during an OVW TV taping on August 6, 2006. He had lost much of his muscle mass, appearing much slimmer, although still having some definition in his arms and abdomen[1].

On the August 28, 2006 edition of RAW, Chris Masters made his return against John Cena with "The Masterpiece" gimmick still intact. Along with less muscle mass, he sported a goatee and moustache to which Jerry "The King" Lawler referred to him as a "leaner and meaner" Chris Masters. However, this change of image was short-lived as Masters lost the goatee and regained some of his muscle mass.

Throughout the months of Masters' return, it would seem that he had been put down to low-card matches having a short feud with the debuting Super Crazy which Masters came out on the losing end of the matches between the two. The pair would also compete, along with four other Superstars, in a Six-Pack Challenge Match for the Intercontinental Championship in which neither Masters or Crazy were able to win. Masters regained his mid-card position soon after getting his first victory since his re-debut, against Jerry Lawler on the November 6, 2006 edition of RAW in a match where GM for a night Eric Bischoff forced Lawler to be first handcuffed to the top rope. Masters' continued feud with Jerry Lawler for a few weeks with Lawler also losing a Master Lock Challenge before defeating Masters in a singles match.

On the December 4, 2006 episode of RAW, Jonathan Coachman set up a Master Lock Challenge against John Cena for the WWE Championship. Masters appeared to have had the contest won, however he released the hold for a short time, allowing Cena to reverse the hold into his own Master Lock, forcing Masters to submit to his own signature move, retaining his title and making Cena the first to win the Master Lock Challenge. No Superstar as of yet has broken the Master Lock under his own power.

On the Christmas 2006 "Tribute to the Troops" event, a brave United States Army Soldier, Staff Sergeant José Avila, broke free from the Master Lock with help from Santa Claus (JBL). Though he could be considered the first person to break the hold, he did not do it under his own power as JBL kicked Masters from behind, allowing Avila to break the hold. After Masters released Avila, JBL then hit Masters with his Clothesline from Hell. On the January 15, 2007 edition of RAW, Masters announced that Avila's win was not official.

At the start of 2007, Masters would restart his feud with Carlito which would lead to several matches between the two. The first was a one-on-one contest at New Year's Revolution; which Masters won. In a rematch on Raw, Carlito came out victorious.

On the January 15, edition of Raw, Ron Simmons, with interference from Super Crazy, became the second superstar to "win" the Master Lock Challenge. However, it is still considered unbroken as it was not achieved by the wrestler alone.

Mordetsky has stated that his two role models growing up were Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair; who he has feuded with while in WWE.

Has a large tattoo of a crucifix on the inside of his right forearm.

Despite popular internet belief, Chris Masters has never dated Beth Phoenix, they worked together in OVW as (kayfabe) boyfriend & girlfriend. Mordetsky has been pictured with his real life Fiancée at the premiere of Kane's new movie, See No Evil.

The brother of his fiancee is in the US army and is stationed in Baghdad, Iraq at Camp Victory. This was seen in the 2006 WWE tribute to the troops episode of RAW which aired on 25th December 2006 and showed his future brother in law in uniform with Mordetsky being interviewed for the tv special out of his normal "Masters" character, hence breaking kayfabe.

The team was promoted from OVW to the WWE RAW brand under the name Cryme Tyme, with Paul changing his name to JTG. They made their television debut on the October 16, 2006 RAW, defeating Johnny and Mikey of The Spirit Squad, and made their pay-per-view debut at November's Cyber Sunday.

Jeff Hardy

Jeffrey (Jeff) Nero Hardy (born August 31, 1977) is an American professional wrestler currently performing on the RAW brand of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where he is the reigning Intercontinental Champion. He is also known for his original run in World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment with his brother Matt Hardy as the Hardy Boyz from 1998-2002.

Matt and Jeff Hardy had a dream of becoming the best wrestlers since a young age. They watched wrestling often and by the time Jeff was 16, he had been on WWF TV as a jobber. Jeff, along with Matt and friends, started their own federation, the TWF (Trampoline Wrestling Federation) and mimicked the moves they saw on TV. Later on, the federation went under several different names, eventually being integrated into a county fair in North Carolina, USA. Jeff, Matt, and friends then began to work for other independent companies. They drove all over the East Coast of the United States, working for companies such as ACW and other small promotions.

Before arriving in the World Wrestling Federation, Matt had formed his own wrestling promotion, OMEGA (Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts) with Thomas Simpson. The promotion was a more successful version of the original TWF and included such talent as Matt, Jeff, Shannon Moore, Gregory Helms, Amy Dumas, Joey Matthews, Caprice Coleman, and many others. In OMEGA, Matt and Jeff each had several different characters. Jeff portrayed such characters as Willow the Wisp, Iceman, Mean Jimmy Jack Tomkins, Wolverine, and The Masked Mountain.

The Hardy brothers eventually caught the eyes of the World Wrestling Federation, and after being signed to a contract in 1998, they were trained by former wrestler Dory Funk, Jr. in his Funkin' Dojo with other notable wrestlers such as Kurt Angle, Christian, Test, and A-Train. When the team were finally brought up to WWF TV, they formed the acrobatic tag team called The Hardy Boyz.

The team of Matt and Jeff won the WWE Tag Team Championship on five occasions, ensuring they would be known as one of the most successful tag teams in WWE history. In 2000, Matt and Jeff found a new manager in their real-life friend Lita. Together, the three became known as "Team Xtreme".

Jeff Hardy standing atop a ladder.Jeff would gain attention for his high risk stunts in the TLC matches in the year 2000 and 2001 (the Hardy Boyz) and 2002 (Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam) and made a name for himself as one of the most seemingly reckless and unorthodox WWF performers of his time. In 2001, Jeff would also hold both the WWE Intercontinental and Light Heavyweight Championships.

In early April of 2002 The Hardy Boyz began a feud with Brock Lesnar after Lesnar gave Matt an F-5 on the steel entrance ramp, which led to an angered Jeff seeking revenge on Lesnar. At Backlash 2002 Jeff faced-off against Lesnar in his first televised match. Lesnar dominated Hardy and won the match by knockout.

Lesnar and the Hardys would continue to feud over the next few weeks, with Lesnar coming out victorious every time. At Judgement Day 2002, Lesnar gained the upper hand on the Hardy Boyz before tagging, his partner, Heyman in to claim the win for the team.

After years in the tag team division, Jeff stepped up and took on The Undertaker in a Ladder match for the Undisputed Championship. Jeff came up short, but earned the Undertaker's respect. Jeff competed for singles titles on several occasions, but was unsuccessful. Finally, the Hardy Boyz split apart, as Jeff continued to pursue his singles ambitions and brother Matt was drafted to SmackDown! and Jeff continued on RAW. After this he would tease a heel turn by attacking several superstars.

Jeff was in few angles after that. He first teamed with Shawn Michaels and then hooked up with Trish Stratus after saving her from Steven Richards and Victoria. In his last match before being released, Jeff was defeated by The Rock. Jeff was released from WWE on April 22, 2003. The reasons given for the release were Jeff's erratic behavior, deteriorating ring performance, increasing drug use, and refusal to enter rehab as well as constant tardiness and no-showing events

After his original run in WWF/E, Jeff returned to wrestling to perform with the Ring of Honor. Jeff first appeared at ROH's 2003 show, Death Before Dishonor, under his "Willow the Wisp" gimmick, wearing a mask and trench coat. Jeff was quickly unmasked and lost his jacket, wearing attire similar to that he wore in WWE. Jeff was booed and heckled before, during, and after the match by the ROH audience, who chanted "We want Matt!" and "You got fired!" during his match with Joey Matthews and Krazy K, which Jeff won.

Hardy debuted in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling on June 23, 2004 at the TNA Second Anniversary Show in a match against TNA X Division champion A.J. Styles, for the title. He also debuted his new entrance theme "Modest" and his nickname was the Charismatic Enigma. The match ended in a no-contest when Kid Kash and Dallas interfered. Hardy returned to TNA on July 21, 2004, and was awarded a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Hardy challenged for the title on the final weekly TNA pay-per-view on September 8, 2004, losing to NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett.

Hardy teamed with A.J. Styles and Ron Killings throughout mid-2004. In October 2004 he won a tournament, earning a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on November 7, 2004 at Victory Road 2004. Hardy was defeated by Jarrett once again in a ladder match at Victory Road following interference from Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. One month later on December 5, 2004 at Turning Point 2004, Hardy, Styles and Randy Savage defeated Jarrett, Hall and Nash (collectively known as the Kings of Wrestling). Hardy went on to defeat Hall in a single match at Final Resolution 2005 on January 16, 2005.

At Against All Odds 2005 on February 13, 2005, Hardy lost to Abyss in a "Full Metal Mayhem" match for the number one contendership to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. However, he went on to defeat Abyss in a falls count anywhere match at Destination X 2005 on March 13, 2005. Hardy then went on to feud with Raven, with Hardy defeating Raven in a steel cage match at Lockdown 2005 on April 24, 2005. Hardy was suspended from TNA after no-showing his "Clockwork Orange House of Fun" rematch with Raven at Hard Justice 2005 on May 15, 2005, allegedly due to travel difficulties. Hardy's suspension was lifted on August 5, 2005, with Hardy returning to TNA at Sacrifice 2005 on August 14, 2005, attacking Jeff Jarrett. He wrestled his first TNA match in four months at Unbreakable on September 11, 2005, losing to Bobby Roode following interference from Jarrett.

Throughout October 2005, Hardy became embroiled in a feud with Abyss, Rhino and Sabu. The four way feud culminated in a Monster's Ball match at Bound for Glory 2005 on October 23, 2005, which was won by Rhino. In the course of the match, Hardy delivered a Swanton Bomb to Abyss from a height of approximately seventeen feet (5.18 meters). Later that night, Hardy competed in a ten-man battle royal for the number one contendership to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, which was also won by Rhino. At Genesis 2005 on November 13, 2005, Hardy lost to Monty Brown in another number one contender match.

Jeff Hardy as the Intercontinental Champion in 2006Hardy was scheduled to wrestle on the pre-show of Turning Point 2005 at December 11, 2005, but once again no-showed the event, again citing traveling problems. Hardy was suspended as a result and did not appear in TNA again. In March, April and May 2006, Hardy appeared on several house shows promoted by TNA in conjunction with Dave Hebner and the United Wrestling Federation.

On August 4, 2006, WWE announced that Hardy had re-signed with the company. In the following weeks, Jeff Hardy vignettes aired hyping his return on the August 21, 2006 episode of RAW. At his return he defeated Edge by disqualification. After failing to capture the Intercontinental Championship from Johnny Nitro over the next few weeks, including at Unforgiven 2006, Hardy finally defeated Nitro to win his second Intercontinental Championship on the October 2, 2006 edition of RAW. On the November 6, 2006 episode of RAW, Hardy lost the Intercontinental Championship back to Johnny Nitro, after Nitro hit him with the Intercontinental Championship title belt. Just a week after he lost the Intercontinental title to Nitro, Hardy regained it on the November 13, 2006 edition of RAW, with a crucifix pin. This marked Hardy's third reign as Intercontinental Champion.

On the November 21, 2006 episode of ECW on Sci Fi Jeff teamed with his brother Matt for the first time in almost five years. They had their old titantron video and music and defeated the Full Blooded Italians. At Survivor Series 2006, these two were in team DX against Team Rated-RKO, over whom they gained the victory with a sweep. Jeff and Matt then got their first opportunity since teaming up to win a tag team championship. They competed in a 4-team, for the WWE Tag-Team Championship in a Ladder match at Armageddon 2006, but came up short in their attempt.

With Jeff Hardy still feuding with Johnny Nitro and MNM into 2007, Jeff was challenged once again by Johnny Nitro at New Year's Revolution 2007 in a Steel Cage Match for the Intercontinental Championship, Hardy once again defeated Nitro. At Royal Rumble 2007 the Hardyz once again defeated MNM in a tag team match.

Charles David (Charlie) Haas Jr. (born on March 27, 1972), is an American professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling on its Raw brand as one half of The World's Greatest Tag Team with Shelton Benjamin.

Haas often teamed with his brother Russ Haas in Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) and Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). After Russ died in December 2001, Charlie began using the name RC (Russ-Charlie, as a sign of dedication and loyalty to his late brother) Haas before being called up to the WWE roster.

After working in Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) and Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), Haas debuted in World Wrestling Entertainment on the December 26, 2002 episode of SmackDown! as a heel along with Shelton Benjamin as "Team Angle". The tag team was the "contingency plan" of Paul Heyman, and were intended to help WWE Champion Kurt Angle retain his title, attacking Chris Benoit and Brock Lesnar in an attempt to weaken them. Angle eventually fired Team Angle after he turned face during that time and they began to question his leadership. The duo then became the "(Self-Proclaimed) World's Greatest Tag-Team". The team won the WWE Tag Team Championship on two occasions before being separated when Benjamin was moved from SmackDown! to RAW in the 2004 WWE draft.

With Benjamin gone, Haas turned face and teamed up with Rico and his valet Miss Jackie to win the tag team titles once again. The team became a dominating force, with the strait-laced Haas clashing with the campy, charismatic Rico. After Rico was released, Haas struck out on his own again, accompanied by Miss Jackie. Haas would come out the loser in a match against Luther Reigns at the The Great American Bash 2004.

Haas was later involved in an angle in which he was in a love triangle with Miss Jackie (acknowledged on air as his fiancée) and Dawn Marie. The story culminated when Haas served as the referee in a match at Armageddon 2004 between the two women. After the match, Haas left both women (for kayfabe purposes; his off-screen relationship with Miss Jackie continued). Then he formed a tag team with Hardcore Holly. They had limited success on SmackDown!, including a feud with MNM for the WWE Tag Team Championships, but never won the titles.

On July 6, 2005, Haas was released by World Wrestling Entertainment along with his wife, Jackie Gayda.

He returned to Jersey All Pro Wrestling that same month, and began a feud for the JAPW Heavyweight Championship, Jay Lethal. On September 10 at JAPW Haas of Pain, Lethal defeated Haas to retain his title.

He won the Natural Heavyweight Championship at Ballpark Brawl V on August 13, 2005, defeating then-champion Christopher Daniels and Chris Sabin. He successfully defended the title the next night at Ballpark Brawl VI against Harry Smith with Mick Foley as a referee. He was stripped of this title when he returned to WWE, and has thus far been the only man to successfully defend the title.

During this time, Haas also competed in the 2006 ECWA Super 8 Tournament, getting into the finals but then losing to Davey Richards.

In November 2005, Haas became the temporary head trainer for Professional Championship Wrestling in Arlington, alongside TNA superstar Lance Hoyt. Haas made his PCW debut in January defeating Lance Hoyt. He also wrestled more matches with PCW wrestlers Mike Foxx, Mace Malone, Eddie Atlas and Stephen Murphy, just days before his return to WWE in April.

In late December 2005 Charlie Haas re-signed with WWE, returning to OVW on February 22, 2006. He returned to WWE television on the April 17, 2006 episode of RAW as Rob Van Dam's handpicked opponent for his former partner, Shelton Benjamin. Haas defeated Benjamin in the ensuing match.

Haas would continue to wrestle on the lower midcard spot, often competing on Heat as well as RAW sometimes.

On the June 5, 2006 edition of RAW, Charlie Haas inadvertently knocked Lilian Garcia off the ring apron as he was entering the ring. It was announced on WWE.com that as a result, Lilian suffered a sprained wrist. It was noticed that he received no heat over this as everyone understood it was an accident (it should be noted that the injury was not a work). The result was a feud with Lilian's storyline love interest Viscera, and Haas's second heel run of his career in the WWE. Haas would make advances towards Lilian, at one point forcefully kissing her and then dropping her to the ground. Haas and Viscera continued to fight for Lilian's affection in the ring, until Lilian stated to the both of them that she wants to be "just friends." Haas gave Viscera an eye rake in anger, and a blinded Viscera accidentally gave Lilian a Samoan drop. Though it was unintentional, when both Charlie and Viscera had seen what had happened to their now former love interest, they simply had a laugh about it. After that, Viscera and Charlie became a tag team, usually found competing on Heat in random matches until splitting in December 2006.

After Shelton Benjamin won a match against Super Crazy on the December 4, 2006 edition of RAW, Haas came out to celebrate his win with a bewildered Benjamin. Haas and Benjamin announced the return of the World's Greatest Tag Team on the December 11, 2006 edition of RAW and they defeated The Highlanders in their return match. They have recently started a feud with Cryme Tyme. Since the reunion of the World's Greatest Tag Team, Haas has begun a new gimmick where he looks and acts "wiggerish". Examples of this: He uses ebonics in promos, does the Westside gang sign in his entrance (Despite being from Oklahoma), wore a Bloods bandana in at least one match, and as recent as January 29, 2007, made his hair into cornrows. Benjamin & Haas now compete regualary on Raw and Heat.

Charlie writes "RUSS" on his wrist tape before every match to pay tribute to his brother who was born exactly 2 years after Charlie.

Charlie Haas' grandfather was Hugh Devore, former Houston Oilers assistant coach/Notre Dame head coach.

On June 10, 2005, Haas married Jackie Gayda. The best man was Shelton Benjamin and the bridesmaids were Victoria and Dawn Marie.

On December 14, 2006 at 3:01 a.m., Haas' wife Jackie gave birth to a daughter. Kayla Jacquelyn Haas weighed 6 pounds 7-ounces, and was 19.5-inches long.

"The Great Khali". Dalip Singh

Dalip Singh (born August 27, 1972) is an Indian wrestler and actor, better known by his ringname The Great Khali. He is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling on its RAW brand. Before embarking on his professional sports career, Singh was an officer in the Punjab state police, a champion bodybuilder, and a Pehlwan athlete.

Dalip Singh was born in the village of Dhirana in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India, the third of eight children in the Rana family. At a young age, he earned a daily wage as a roadside stonebreaker to help provide for his family.

When asked about the size of his family members, Singh said that all other members of his family, including his parents and siblings, are of normal height. He pointed out, however, that his grandfather was tall.

In 1993, Singh was working in the Himalaya hills when his life's circumstances began to change. By this time he had tried his hand at many sports. He excelled in all of them, but showed exceptional talent in bodybuilding. The Director General of the Punjab Police Department took notice of Dalip and helped him join the police force. The change in employment allowed Singh to further his body building training and he subsequently won titles of Mr. India in 1995-96.

His success and hard work led him to train as a wrestler in the United States of America in 1996, where he developed the skills necessary to compete on a global stage, enabling him to win numerous wrestling titles in Japan, where he is currently a very popular figure.

Dalip Singh's goal in life is to support his family and aid the entire village that is his home. He is an active mentor to young people in Punjab, encouraging them to stay away from drugs and urging them to find discipline, health and success by taking up sports.

He married Harminder Kaur on February 27, 2002.

In 2005, Singh appeared in the film The Longest Yard as Turley, one of the prison's inmates.

On September 6, 2006, Khali was suspended from the Punjab Police Department as a result of his absence and time spent working with WWE, but was reinstated within hours

Under the ring name "Giant Singh", Dalip Singh became a pro wrestler for All Pro Wrestling in the United States of America, making his first appearance in October 2000, when teaming with Tony Jones against the West Side Playaz 2000.

On May 28, 2001, Brian Ong volunteered to receive a flapjack from Singh. Singh did this move with two others in the gym that night, including one of the trainers, so Ong could see how it was done. Ong botched receiving the move, as he grabbed Singh's shirt instead of pushing off his back as the coaches had instructed him. He landed wrong and incurred a severe injury. Ong had suffered a previous concussion, and this second concussion ultimately proved fatal for him. As Singh inadvertently caused his death, Ong's family brought a lawsuit against All Pro Wrestling and were awarded damages of over $1.3 million.

In August 2001, Singh was brought into New Japan Pro Wrestling by Team 2000 leader, Masahiro Chono, along with another big man, Giant Silva. They were the tallest tag team in pro-wrestling history at an average height of 7 ft 2 in, and a combined weight of 805 lb. The two teamed for the first time at the Tokyo Dome in October, labelled "Club 7" by Chono, and they defeated Yutaka Yoshie, Kenzo Suzuki, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Wataru Inoue in a Handicap Match when Silva pinned Tanahashi and Inoue at the same time. Singh suffered his first loss in a tag match at the Tokyo Dome in January 2002, being cradled by Hiroyoshi Tenzan. He suffered another big tag defeat during March, being pinned by Manabu Nakanishi, and falling to a German suplex hold. His most critical loss came in August at Tokyo Nippon Budokan though, when, after a falling out, he was pinned by Silva in a singles match.

On January 2, 2006, Singh was signed to a contract by WWE and assigned to the Deep South Wrestling developmental territory for training. With Daivari by his side, the un-named Singh debuted on WWE television on the April 7, 2006 episode of SmackDown, attacking The Undertaker and leaving him out cold during his match with Mark Henry, and thus causing a no-contest.

The next week he was introduced as "The Great Khali". Daivari explained that he now finally had a client that would destroy the Undertaker (after Muhammed Hassan and Mark Henry had failed previously). Khali made his in-ring debut on the April 21, 2006 edition of SmackDown!, defeating Funaki.

On the May 5, 2006 edition of SmackDown, Khali signed a contract to face The Undertaker at Judgment Day on May 21, 2006. Later that night, he interrupted a WWE Cruiserweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Triple Threat Match between Super Crazy, Kid Kash and Nunzio, and attacked all three men, as well as Vito.

On the May 12, 2006 edition of SmackDown, JBL put Khali against then World Champion Rey Mysterio (to soften him up before JBL's upcoming World Championship match with Rey). Khali had a height advantage of almost two feet and a weight advantage of 250 pounds, and gained an easy victory over Mysterio. In his match against The Undertaker at Judgment Day 2006, Khali landed a series of blows on his opponent, and finally defeated The Undertaker with a kick to the head. Khali continued on a rampage for several weeks, winning handicap matches, beating superstars up in a display of power, and mocking the Undertaker's signature pin and victory pose.

He also helped Big Show beat down the Undertaker (who was challenging Show for the ECW World Heavyweight Championship) with a Double Chokeslam through the announcer's table, continuing his feud with The Undertaker.

Khali then challenged the Undertaker to a Punjabi Prison Match, and the two were scheduled to meet in such a match at The Great American Bash, but Khali was removed from the match due to elevated liver enzymes and replaced by Big Show. (In the storyline, Theodore Long replaced Khali with Big Show as punishment for an attack on The Undertaker shortly before the match.)

Khali later received a clean bill of health, and the August 4, 2006 episode of SmackDown would see Khali being challenged by The Undertaker to a Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam. However, the match was moved to the SmackDown just prior to SummerSlam. On the August 18, 2006 episode of SmackDown, The Undertaker defeated Khali after hitting him with the steel steps, and following it up with several chair-shots to the head (which cut Khali's forehead open) and a chokeslam. After the match, a profusely bleeding Khali was administered nine stitches to the forehead to close the gash. This marked Khali's first ever WWE defeat.

On August 29, 2006, it was reported that Khali would be out of action for several months due to surgery on both knees. By October of that year news came the Khali would return, along with Daivari, to WWE to join its revived ECW brand.[1]

On the October 31, 2006 edition of ECW on Sci-Fi, Khali and his manager Daivari made their on-screen debuts, with Daivari defeating "The Reject" Shannon Moore, while Khali took on the reverse role as Daivari's manager for the match. Khali then assaulted Moore after the match. Khali continued manhandling Daivari's opponents after Daivari had defeated them.

Khali would then engage in a feud with Tommy Dreamer, who was defeated by Daivari at December to Dismember 2006. After the match, Khali Chokebombed Dreamer on the steel stage. Dreamer would then have a match with Daivari on the day after the PPV. Dreamer won the match, but then Khali chokebombed him on top of a steel chair. The next week, Dreamer called out Khali, but Daivari answered the challenge instead. Once again, Dreamer won the match, but then Khali chokebombed him on the padded floor outside the ring.

On the December 19, 2006 edition of ECW, Daivari had challenged Shannon Moore to a match, but instead, Khali faced Moore in his first match in ECW. Khali easily defeated Moore, but it was on a disqualifaction. Tommy Dreamer came in and hit Daivari with a steel chair. Tommy tried to attack Khali with the chair, but ended getting up punched with the chair in front of his face, Irish whipped into the steel steps, and chokebombed onto the steps. Khali then picked up a knocked out Daivari and walked back to the locker room.

On the January 8, 2007, episode of Monday Night RAW, Jonathan Coachman announced that Khali's contract in ECW had expired, he had signed with RAW, and would battle John Cena in the main event. Khali won by disqualification after Cena took a steel chair held by Armando Alejandro Estrada and hit Khali with it. After the match, Khali chokebombed Cena to the mat and left the ringside area, leaving Cena prone to an attack by Umaga. It should be noted that Daivari was not at ringside with Khali, but did appear with Khali the next night on ECW on Sci-Fi as Khali beat Tommy Dreamer in his ECW farewell match.
